Another Moonlit Evening
It's been quite a while since I've seen the moon two nights in a row.
The crescent moon was peeking out between clouds after sunset this evening. The clouds are a bit strangely sculpted; to me, it looks like this could be any moon, having over any planet anywhere in the galaxy. Fortunately, this beauty is our.
Shot with the 200-600 telephoto with 1.4x extender (at 280mm for this shot). It was a long exposure because the sky was pretty dark—0.4” at f/8 and ISO 100.
I also got a magnified shot at 840mm; the moon resolves nice detail, so the air must be reasonably steady. You can just see the edge of a thin clouds in this shot:
