Back Yard Birds

Cute, but tough.

For little things, birds are vicious with each other. A few seconds after this shot was taken, they were biting each other.

Beautiful, though.

Some, even sweet-tempered, contemplative, serious.

All three photos taken with the vintage Canon 500mm FD f/4.5. The middle photo used the 1.4X extender, so 700mm. From what I can see, the 500mm native shots are so sharp than the extender doesn’t really add anything much.
