I’ve been taking photos of Mt. Rainier for years, but this one drives home the sheer size of it really well. In this view, the trees are about 500 feet away, and Mt. Rainer is 25.6 miles away.
Taken with the new 240mm Phase One lens and camera. More details about that setup coming up as I start using it more. It just arrived today.
The fact that we see it from sea level makes it even more impressive.
