I set up my camera with a 200mm lens about 18 feet away from the feeder, with the idea of capturing birds flying in toward the feeder.
This finch flew in from upper right to lower left, executed a power turn at lower left, and the attempted to land on the feeder but I guess he didn’t find the landing spot he was looking for; he flew off at top right.
I stacked the photos in Affinity Photo, with a little bit of hand editing around the edges to create some separation in the areas of overlap. I actually had twice as many images as you see here, but the large number of images was overwhelming to the eye:
Although, in its overwhelming confusion, it has its own kind of charm. ;)
