The color of the moon caught my eye tonight. I could see that there was visible smoke near the horizon, and the moon was above that, but very obviously reddened. The color you see above is the color I saw when I took the shot.

The new camera supports my interest in photographing birds—it’s got the right toolset for that. The A1 was more of a general-purpose camera, although it was one of those ‘jack of all trades, master of every one of them’ sorts of cameras. But the A9 III is highly specialized for wildlife and sports, and has some extra tricks that are helping me have more fun taking photos of birds…
