The clouds cleared out after lunch today, and the air quality was excellent, so I was hoping for a good shot of Rainier today, and here it is.
This was shot with the Phase One digital back and a 210mm large format lens (think old-time cameras with their bellows and hoods). Yes, there was a bellows and a lens board and all the rest, but instead of film, I used a digital back (IQ3 100mpx).
The air was churning a bit from the heat of the sun, so the sharpness is merely excellent rather than, let us say, truly grand, but I will not complain.

I like that panorama because it really shows the difference in scale between the Cascade mountain range and the volcano that sits on it. Mt. Rainier is huge!
