We finally have clear skies again; it has been cool and cloudy for a while. Unfortunately, there are some small fires spotted around, and a major fire on the other side of Rainier. It’s difficult to spot, but there is a towering plume of smoke behind Rainier. A bit of it shoes on the right edge.

This is a spot in Orting I only discovered today. It’s an old farm, with run-down ancient barns and outbuildings. Still in use, though.

It looks as though the fire is on the mountainside, but it’s just a chance alignment. The fire is probably about 50 miles east of the mountain.
