It’s sooooo hard to know what the kiddos will like. Best to bring back a mouthful of various insects.
Sony a7r IV with Sony 200-600mm lens. ISO 640, 1/800th, f/10. Focal length was 541mm.
There was motion blur despite the short exposure time, so I sharpened for motion blur in Topaz. Here’s another photo of the same bird, but I don’t think the motion blur correction on the face worked quite as well. I love the pose, though. I used a slightly different color correction here as well.
And here is the best image, technically—but the bugs in the mouth are not as clearly visible. It illustrated that the best image isn’t always the best image; best is matter of both technique and context.
