Macro: Red Carnation
Weather starts to suck about this time of year in the Seattle area, so indoor photography rules.
I am revisiting my macro setup for indoor imaging—I’ve added a few new lenses and I am evaluating how well the various macro lenses perform. This image was photographed with a Schneider-Krueznach 150mm Componon-S. I think of it as the poor man’s macro lens; their high-end macro lens cost more than $10k; this one was a few hundred and, if you ask me, it does quite well.
Sony A1 camera with the Schneider lens attached via a L O N G tube to get to macro focusing distances. At some point, I need to take some photos of the setup I’m using, but that’s a whole other post.
