Shot with iPhone 12 mini in RAW format, edited in Affinity Photo. Making this a black and white photo made it feel more dramatic.
The color version was what I had in mind first, but the old-school B&W feels better to me. This is the unprocessed color version as shot:

The blue around the moon is nice, but the staircase and wall begin to look ordinary in color. The striking contrast of the shadows from the bannister makes the B&W my preference.
Worth noting is how subtle the shadow from the bannister is in the raw data. If I had not played around in B&W, I never would have discovered that enticing, bold shadow at all.
You are taking off. This b/w image is so mysterious and intriguing. I Wondered how long it would be before you went crazy in post. I really like this image a lot. more more more!
