I normally photograph Mt. Rainier with telephoto lenses—it provides a lot more detail of the rocks and snow. But my Sony 50mm lens is a very sharp lens, with excellent color rendition, so I also took a few photograph with that lens a few days ago.
I also processed this image to remove the effects of haze. It was a very clear day, and the mountain was captured well, but removing the haze shows more of the true color of the mountain—the reddish gray of the rocks; the dust on the snow.
And of course it provides context for the mountain, with the dairy farm in the foreground.
Very pristine and idyllic picture. Looks a bit like paradise. Great clarity.
