I saw clear skies this evening, so just prior to sunset I headed for a nice spot in Orting, WA to get some (I hoped) red-tinged sunset photos of the big volcano.
The sun, atmosphere, and mountain did not disappoint.
Shot with Phase One XF camera and 150mm lens at f/4, ISO 50, 1/30th of a second.
Two minutes after the shot above, I got this bit of last light on the mountain
ISO 50, f/4, 1/20th second exposure. After this point, there were glints of red here and there, and then the mountain went blue-gray entirely.
Close up views reveal heavy snow layers on the mountain crest areas. Interesting.
