Those shrubs look like statues, like standing stones, honoring the mountain’s majesty.

I wasn’t thinking about the majesty at the time; I was trying to get all the elements of the scene into the frame; they were a bit scattered for the narrow view of the 150mm lens. A case of a photo having more to it than the photographer was aware of at the time.
Although there is this unconscious tingle you get when a photo feels right even when you have no clear idea of why; I’ve learned to trust that feeling even if the composition seems awkward in the moment. The feel of this one is more than the chaos of the elements, now that I look at it in my leisure moments.
