I noticed that although it was nearly overcast, the cloud deck was fairly high, so I swung by one of my favorite nearby Mt. Rainier vistas to get this shot. It’s actually a panorama made up of half a dozen handheld shots.
It shows how Mt. Rainier is big enough to affect the shape and direction of clouds.
Here’s a black and white version of the image, with a virtual red filter to darken the blue portions of the sky.
If you ignore the modern house on the far right, the black and white image looks like it could have been taken 100 years ago at some logging camp high in the Cascades…
