Mt. Rainier Sunset Panorama
A much wider shot, taken same day as my most recent Mt. Rainier photo
The light was seriously fading when I collected the shots that went into this panorama. The level of red in the sky suggests there were some clouds partially blocking sunlight (and reddening it at the same time).
The darkness of the image conveys the sense of evening at the time; I did not brighten the image to show more detail—this is how it looked and felt.
Taken with the Phase One digital back and a 150mm Componon-S lens. Believe it or not, at this point the lens had slightly slipped in its mount (it’s a bit customized…), and so there is some slight softening but the image is so dang big, you can barely see it. ;)
