I have been trying to get a decent photo of a nuthatch for about a week. As soon as I would get close enough for a shot, off they would go. As soon as I would focus when I did get a chance, the bird would fly off. Not a single image that was any good.
Today, gold. This fellow was very tolerant of my presence, and let me get within 8’. Then, the nice pose.
Even so, I had to delete 75% of my shots for bad focus. These birds move so fast it’s hard to get a good shot. Really excited to get this one.
