For the last week, we’ve had pretty thick haze. It’s from smoke related to fires in Oregon. For a brief period today, we a front moved in and blew away the smoke. It lasted just a few hours before it started to rain.
I was lucky enough to get a shot of Mt. Rainier is that spectacularly clear air. Here’s a view of just the mountain.
I am making some changes to my cameras and lenses. This was shot with a classic medium-format lens, a Contax 645 120mm Macro. It’s a very sharp lens, and I got lots of detail in the photo. I used the Sony A9 III camera to get the shot; my new medium format camera, a Fuji GFX 100S II, won’t be here until the end of the week.
The clear air lasted just a few hours; it’s evening and raining.
