I have been testing a new lens for macrophotography. I recently used it on my Sony camera for hand-held macro in the yard. This time, I put the lens on my Phase One camera back, and took incremental photos of a Poppy seed-case to see how sharp the lens really is.
I think we can say sharp, yeah; it’s sharp. However: this image is only at 50% of the actual size I captured. Even at half size, it’s still showing a lot of very fine details.
Magnification here is slightly larger than life size. (that is, the size projected on the camera sensor was a little larger than life size)
