I put out the first feeder of the year, and have been seeing various over-wintering birds the last few days. The one group of birds that is always at the feeder? The Chickadees. They are small, but full of personality.
Some birds ignore you; some just stare; some are ornate and beautiful no matter how or when you observe them. But Chickadees put on a show.
