This was a new path I discovered on my last outing to this part of the creek. A couple of young kids, a boy and a girl, went down there to make out. I didn’t disturb them that day, but came back again and liked the view.
The bridge looks freshly captioned; I had never seen that before. The leaning old tree was a bonus as well. These are the only ‘large’ rapids I have found on the creek. I used a time exposure to smooth out the motion. I would like to reshoot this with a darker neutral density filter to get better definition in the whitewater.
The sun was a lucky break—it has been raining all day.
I didn’t even notice how this pano might come together. But then I saw this single photo and hunted down some adjacent shots and made the pano:
The single photo feels moodier to me than the panorama, and I like it better for that reason. This shot was ¼ second at f/5.6 and ISO 50. This particular shot is one of my favorites now for this section of the creek.
