Just after I finished up with the ducks at Lake Wilderness this last Saturday, I spotted a raven grubbing around near the garbage cans. I must have startled this one; he took off and then landed on the large knee of the cedar tree on the right—yes, that’s part of a tree, not a rock.
These images are not perfectly focused; the bird startled me and I just pointed my camera his way and took the shots. The 85mm Canon does not focus reliably in dim light. I’ll always take a lucky shot.
