Snowy House
We had a pretty heavy snowfall a few days ago; finally getting around to posting a shot of it.
This is the south end of our house after a recent snowfall. Most of the snow is still there, but morning sun has already started some melting. We are down to a light coating of snow now, but the original material was gorgeous.
Here is what it looked like coming down—large, wet flakes at a furious rate.
And the driveway after the snow was done falling:
You can see some of the broken tree branches in the above shot—the hardwoods did mostly fine, although the red maple to the right lost a few branches. The software took it pretty hard—some of the evergreens were weighed down by the snow and have new shapes; the willow at center has half a dozen broken branches and will need some care soon to clean it up and keep it healthy.
