Stumpy
Could be a frog, could be a grouper, but I prefer "Trump reacts to news of his indictment."
There is a little forest in the heart of Bonney Lake, WA, where I like to walk around with a camera. It’s a young forest, but here in the Pacific Northwest the high level of rainfall pushes a forest more quickly. All that moisture causes things to rot faster, and so you get even small stumps like this one that have a lot of character.
Shot with the Zeiss Otus 100mm lens at f/1.8 on the Sony α1.
Here’s another small stump that has a lot of character.
Shot with the same lens and camera combination. The sun was coming and going a lot this afternoon, and I had to focus, frame, and shoot very fast when something like this occurred. It lasted about a second or two, then the sun was gone for quite a while. A lucky shot.
