South Prairie Creek, from the old railroad trestle bridge in South Prairie, WA
Shot handheld with the Phase One 1Q4 back and a Canon 24mm tilt/shift lens.
This was a rental lens; I had nothing but trouble with it since the day it arrived (Wednesday; this was shot on Saturday). It’s going to go back, but I figured out how to compensate for the problems I was having (poor focus in on part of the image or another; loose adjustments—everything from gravity and friction to weather and timing kept going wrong.
And then I got this shot. Life in the sticks is great! The joy of these kids, the screaming, the splashing—beautiful.
