Emma is a radiant being, beautiful. Your barn interior is something else, wow. I sure am liking your direction. Your composition is fantastic with those diagonal lines leading to to door. Perspective. This is really a good one.

An additional note: I did have one conscious thought when I was framing the barn interior shot, which was that the area above the door needed to be in the shot. Usually not even that rises into consciousness, it's more like tough that sight that way. So I raised the camera to include that area, and then my hands feel out the right position with that included. I think this is what happens when you do a thing very earnestly for a long time.

Yeah, she's really something.

Funny thing about the composition. I stopped thinking about composition at some point; usually, I look at whatever is in front of me and somewhere in my emotions I have a response, and I frame that with the camera -- no thinking at all. I feel where the camera should point, and I adjust it a little, but there is simply a trust there in my feeling it out. I may take one or ten shots, and I may get a different idea, I may not. It's all feel, no thought at all. I only find out intellectually what I've got once the photos are on the computer and ready to be worked with. Now, I will find that I have sometimes completely missed a good opportunity, but so often this just works.
