These panos really need to be seen on a large screen to fully appreciate them. The level of detail that you’re getting just blows my mind. In addition to the texture that you mentioned I notice the warmth of the trees and the cool color of the mountain and sky. The ever so slightly gray clouds with all that texture is so interesting. I have to say I love the river picture. It puts me right there and remindsMe how much I love rivers.
Thanks. I am using lenses that are really sharp, and that is how I get the detail in the first place. The panoramas wind up with a really deep level of detail that I love to see as well. I did emphasize the contrasting colors when processing the image. :) I also worked to preserve both the bright cloud detail and the detail in the shadows; that turns out to be one of the hardest bits to handle.
