Every area has its birds, and it can vary even over short distances. Many people here see the cedar waxwing; haven’t seen one ever. <shrug> Grateful for the birds that do show up.
The funny thing is I never saw a Catbird here the last 4 years since we moved here. I saw a few Bluebirds but this year they are much more numerous, noticeably.
We have different birds here. I recently learned that my favorite bird I’ve never seen, the Waxwing, likes crab apples and we have a crab apple tree in the back yard. Going to keep an eye out when the apples mature.
They are common here on the feeder. For some reason we also have a lot of bluebirds and catbirds here as well.
